This is wild for me to say the least, I’ve seen my brother grow up from the stereotypical tough guy to the man you are today and I must say I’m truly impressed and inspired to also grow and change to better myself for my future family. To Ogo, I can’t say that I ever thought that someone would be able to move the emotional stump I thought my brother was.... but maybe that is evidence that God really had his hand in this union. I can’t wait for you to partake in our Nduka/Okeke shenanigans, I’m sure it will be quite the adjustment period. Congratulations to you both, this wedding will be one for the books and it will be only the beginning.......
To Ogo and EJ as you both are about to start this journey of marital bliss, I pray that the Almighty Lord continues to guide your every step and bless you both abundantly. I wish you both nothing but the absolute best that marriage has to offer IJN..... HAPPY MARRIED LIFE!
I wish both of you the best as you start this journey. I pray for happiness and everlasting love, understanding and Gods guidance.
To EJ & Ogo may God bless this union that he has put together and I pray for nothing but favor for you both as you begin this journey of life together. God bless.
To EJ & Ogo I wish for peace, prosperity and a long lasting life as God guides you two through this new journey. I pray that you endure God's grace and patience as he blesses you with this marriage and many more blessings.
To Junior and Ogo may God bless your union and make this marriage full of love, peace, and happiness. I’m glad to be a part of you guys special day and I wish you the best.
EJ & Ogo may your joining together bring you more joy than you can imagine. May the love you share today grow stronger as you grow old together. May God bless you and your union. 1 Corinthians 13:4-13
As you begin the next chapter in your life with your amazing bride I just wanted to let you know how happy I am for this union. I pray that God continues to bless your footsteps, Guide your thought and actions and reveal to you his ultimate plan for you and your new family. Continue to work hard and keep God first and he will be the light of your path.
Ogo and EJ you guys are a couple that’s just too cool for school! A match made in Heaven nothing short of. I am grateful to be a part of this matrimony. Hopefully Ogo will become a Gamer and EJ will become a Groover haha! Love you guys.
It all started the summer of 2015, my sisters Nonye, Ogo, and I were in Dallas on vacation. EJ would always come around the house, and attend the same parties and events. Before the end of that summer Ogo and EJ had become close and started texting and spending a lot of time together. Eventually we came back home to Nigeria and they still kept in contact and started dating. EJ came back to Nigeria a couple of times and the relationship continued to grow. Sometime last year Ogo was in Texas again and she called to inform us that EJ had asked her to marry him and that he wanted the parents to officially meet. The rest from there as they say is history. I have been excited to be the Maid of Honor because Ogo is not just my sister, we are legit best friends and this is something I have been waiting for. Also over time I have come to know EJ and he is a great guy and most especially perfect for my sister. I wish them a wonderful, blissful marriage full of love and happiness.
My Ogor. The girl that is so easy to love. It’s of no surprise that God has blessed you with your perfect man. A man that will love, cherish and understand everything that makes you unique. I know Junior is that man because of the few but deep details you have shared about him to me. Most especially the way you blush! Haha! We’ve been friends for over 15 years and I’ve never seen you so assertive about anything else (well except dentistry- lol) It gives me so much happiness to be a part of your special day and I can’t wait to share it with you!
May your joy never seize and May your smile never fade away. May your children have a heart as beautiful as yours and may Junior fall in love with you even more everyday. Amen.
Love you longtime my darling!
As Junior's younger sister who has known him practically his whole life ;-). It is both surreal and a thrill to see him so keen on committing his life to Ogo. It has been a true blessing to get to know Ogo and to welcome her to the Nduka family. She is the best woman for my brother and I absolutely cannot wait to see what God has in store for this heavenly sanctioned union.
Myself and Ogo met in 2007 right after secondary school and have since become sisters. There really isn't enough words to say how much of a kind hearted and lovely person Ogo is to me and everyone around her. Girl!!! I am really excited for your future together with Junior, because I know in it would be nothing but love, happiness and peace.
Ahh I'm so privileged to be a part of the wedding. The joining together of a beautiful couple that have nothing but love for each other. If you didn't know, Ogochukwu is my cousin. My beautiful cousin, not only on the outside, but on the inside as well. Junior is a good family friend of ours, more like a brother to me. I could not be happier for them. Anyways, to cut a long story short, Ogo and Junior I wish you guys nothing but the best in life as husband and wife. I hope you both have a 1 Corinthians 13:4 kinda love. I pray that nothing or no one will ever come in between you two. Love you guys and happy married life!
I met Ogo, my cousin, for the first time when I traveled to Nigeria in December 2017. Up until then, she was the only one of her siblings that I hadn't met yet, but we had heard about each other for years from our mothers who are sisters. Our only interactions at that point was a couple of phone conversations over the years (one of those awkward moments when your parents put you on the phone to talk to a cousin you've never met before LOL). But fast forward to 2017 when we finally met, we became instant friends! Hanging out with her and the rest of our mini-crew this past holiday was really one of the highlights of my trip. I met Junior at the same time and had the opportunity to spend some time with the two of them. I could really see how well they fit together...it was so cute. Ogo and Junior, thank you for including me in your trad wedding and I can't wait to join you on your big day at the white wedding. I wish you two nothing but the BEST...you deserve it!
Ogo is my cousin. Although I only met her in 2016 when she came to Houston, I loved her instantly. She laughs at my dumb jokes and flatters me, which is the quickest way to my heart. The day I met her the conversation of relationships came up. She told me that she has a boy in Dallas that she's been dating for a while, who she adores and who adores her. So I asked why there's no ring on her finger as nosy Nigerians do. She said she's waiting for him to ask, but she doesn't want to bring it up because she doesn't want to pressure him (isn't that sweet?). I said, "ahhnn I see, okay, that's fine, I'll take one for the team and pressure him for you." She laughed at me like I wasn't serious and did not heed my warning which is very respectful of her and how I know she'll make a great wife. However, what she didn't know is on the way home I talked to God. I said " Lord, I don't know if she's asked you but allow me to ask. Please , let's lock this one in so you can concentrate on the rest of us single girls. Her future husband is out there dangling his metal-less ring finer around Dallas, knowing he has a beautiful bride here in this Houston. It's not fair to the single girls in Dallas. Let's not waste time and remove him from the market. What is he still doing? Help hm find a ring for my cousin so we can save these girls the trouble an relieve my cousin from stress." A couple months later gram!! You're welcome, Ogo!
Dear EJ and Ogo,
Your union is one that I have long anticipated and prayed for. I remember the first time I met Ogo. I knew at that moment that you were the one for EJ. You two have a bond that many lovers earnestly strive for and I am so excited to see you go and learn together. May your union be an everlasting one. Congratulations!
There are friends, there is family, and there are friends that become family. Ogo is that friend that has become family, my sister, and BFF for life! Super happy for you as you go on this journey with the love of your life!! You truly deserve the very best and you've got it. Junior is so lucky to have you as his wife because you are truly an Angel! Wishing you both a lifetime of Joy and happiness and May you bring each other as much happiness as your friendship has brought to my life and more! Love you dearly.
This is a Black Tie/Formal affair.
Ogo and I started talking to each other in 2015 when she was visiting in Dallas and at the time I could not imagine that I would be spending the rest of my life with her. I was coming off one of those days and wasn't in the best mood. We had gone out to a birthday party in Dallas and it was at that time we first started talking to each other. That interaction turned my day around and from then, we would go out almost every week.
During these last three years that we have been together even though she was living in Nigeria and I was in the US, I would have never thought that I could do a long-distance relationship like this, but somehow this one worked out perfectly for us. We would talk every day on the phone and I was traveling to Nigeria at any opportunity so I could visit her. We support each other in everything we do. It hasn’t been easy doing this long distance with everything from daylight saving changing the time difference from 6 to 7 hours to our daily lives taking up too much time, but through it all we made it work. Now, we are taking our next step in our relationship.
I thank God every day that I met her and that I’m going to spend the rest of my life with her and I pray that God will bless, and be in the center of our union and help us to continue to grow together.
It was LIKE at first sight! Except we clearly first "sighted" each other at different times, lol!
The name Junior Nduka is a name I had always heard my cousins mention as he's a friend of the family but I happened to set my eyes on him for the first time in 2009 when I was in Dallas on holiday. He obviously didn't notice me and we never even said a word to each other, in fact I assumed he was some antisocial guy and a game fanatic even though he was really cute! We always had random moments every time I visited Dallas and that was about it.
Summer 2015, I had just graduated medical school and I was in Dallas with my sisters on vacation. Once again I met Jr., still thinking he was the same 'ol guy, however that summer happened to be different; goodbye random encounters, hello to the start of something beautiful!
We had our first real conversation at a barbecue party at Arinze's place (June 2015), and were immediately joined at the hip! We had different conversations from the most serious to the silliest and naturally at the end of the party we exchanged numbers and the rest as they say is history!
From that day till now, I don't think we've gone a day without speaking to each other. Jr. would come to my cousins place almost everyday to visit, even my uncle noticed and teased about his sudden love for his house. That summer was filled with loads of parties and Jr. and I always happened to be at the same ones thanks to my cousins, so we sure bonded well. By the time the summer was over, it was "Ogo and Jr." no more singular names.
Days before I left Dallas, he asked if we could try a long distance relationship. I was hesitant because I had heard how difficult they tend to be...I expressed my concerns and he assured me he would make it work so, I decided to give it a shot. He was so consistent with communication, in fact I can confidently say I've never met another guy that's more reliable; he made sure to visit Nigeria at every opportunity he had and I always wept when he had to leave again, it was hard!
Our journey has been nothing but a very beautiful and peaceful one.
I said yes to him in Feb 2017 and I thank God Almighty everyday for blessing me with such a peaceful man with a kind heart. He is such a caring gentleman, God fearing, very patient, and I have learnt so much from him especially how to worry less. A true friend I would cherish forever. God surely answered my prayers...I look forward to spending a lifetime with my Jr.
